Marlys Arnold
Trade Show Consultant & Author
Exhibit Marketers Cafe
Over the past two decades, I've helped thousands of trade show exhibitors gather more qualified leads, outshine their competition, and maximize their exhibiting investment. I've written two books on the subject, in addition to being a familiar industry voice in various publications and podcasts, including my own Trade Show Insights blog and podcast.
For nearly 10 years, I've said that both trade show organizers and exhibitors needed to do more to expand the reach of their events beyond just the 3-4 days on the actual show floor. It only took a global pandemic to wake the entire industry up to the potential of virtual exhibiting!
Even if you're not familiar with how a virtual trade show works, I am. I've seen the good, the bad, and the ugly ... and I'll show you how to be one of the best!

This results in memorable and bespoke experiences, that ensure that all attendees are engaged with the message and content.

I started my career in education, even taught my brother in law's brother for a bit during a 3rd grade teaching internship. During a summer break I started working in a technology company and found that I could still teach, but just in a different setting.
In my professional career, I am a technologist at heart with a breadth of experience in multiple industries and in a variety of organizational sizes. I've helped create technology solutions for multiple companies and fields, including Microsoft, PIMCO, Kaiser Permanente and Tableau. I believe in implementing best practices of business processes through that are people centric. I have certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, Agile and Scrum. I am both a certified Scrum Master and Product Owner. I am currently helping Hubb move beyond an early stage start-up to their next level of maturity.
Hubb is my fourth start-up in five different industries, ranging from the travel industry, healthcare, finance, hospitality and manufacturing, often joining the company as one of the first employee(s) or pursuing my entrepreneurial spirit as a co-owner/co-founder.
Hubb has been the most fulfilling experience I've had to date and also the reason why I have worked here longer than anywhere else. I love the people, the culture, the product and the industry. Making the impossible possible has been something that I've seen realized here more so than anywhere else. And that's due solely to the perseverance, the dedication and the commitment our team members take to tackle the job until it's done. Sometimes a person work's choice is solely because they need a job and that's all it is to them.
Hubb has been a whole lot more than that for me and for many of us because of the relationships we've built, the challenges we've faced and the awesome future that is in front of us.

I have been in the Events Industry since 1989. My passion for creative, well thought out and outstanding events has kept me fueled all this time. I have owned my event planning and décor company since then. I also pursued my passion for self development and studied extensively about the laws attractions and the power of vision boards. I have now dedicated my time to mentoring and teaching people how to manifest things in their lives that they want. I have experienced this many time for myself and have seen how much this has helped so many people that have taken my program. I will be launching a new online program in the spring of 2021. Be sure to check out my Brain Bite (15 min) session: "What is a Vision Board - and why do I need one?"
I was on the founding board for the International Special Events Society - launching the first chapter in Canada. A couple years later, I was also on the Founding Board of the Canadian Events Society. The events that we worked on ranged from large, international corporate events on the top of a mountain in the middle of nowhere, to "intimate" dinners for 1000 to wine festivals, to galas and more.

Josh Vande Krol
Chief Operations Officer
Hubb, Inc.
